a couple of years ago. I've been off-line for awhile building a house, but am ready to get back to solving this issue. Between you and Gary, I know we can straighten out the on/off idle status timing map's lack of gradual step-down and subsequent engine bucking/jerkiness in lower gear lugging while pressing on and off the throttle [like a parking lot]. whew! My empirical data logging with a Techtom show that over 2000 rpm, the step down is gradual from 25'BDTC to 20' to the resting 15'. Under 2000, it drops immediately to 15', sometimes from a point as high as 40'BTDC. Instead of falling off the cliff, I want to roll down the hill.
